Quantitative inverse problem in visco-acoustic media under attenuation model uncertainty

We consider the inverse problem of quantitative reconstruction properties (e.g., bulk modulus, density) visco-acoustic materials based on measurements responding waves after stimulation medium. Numerical is performed by an iterative minimization algorithm. Firstly, we investigate robustness algorithm with respect to attenuation model uncertainty, that is, when different models are used simulate synthetic observation data and for inversion, respectively. Secondly, handle data-sets multiple reflections generated wall boundaries around domain, perform inversion using complex frequencies, show it offers a robust framework alleviates difficulties reflections. To illustrate efficiency algorithm, numerical simulations ultrasound imaging experiments reconstruct breast sample contains inclusion high-contrast properties. in two three dimensions, where latter also serves demonstrate feasibility large-scale configuration.
